
Stephanie, who graduated from Westside in 1988, has built a career all over the globe, mostly under the umbrella of the United Nations, dealing with human rights and humanitarian law. Currently she’s the Finance Expert for the United Nations Panel of Experts on North Korea for the UN security Council, which involves investigation and reporting on sanctions violations related to North Korea. A 1992 summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Indiana University, Stephanie completed her undergraduate studies with a double major in Political Science and French. She received her master’s degree with Highest Distinction in International Relations from the Graduate Institute. of International Studies, University of Geneva, Switzerland in 1994 and a Certificate in Advanced Mandarin Chinese from the University of California-Berkeley Program for Chinese Language Studies with Tsinghua University while working in Beijing, China for the International Crisis Group ass Northeast Asia Director from 2008-2013. While at WLHS, Kleine-Ahlbrandt participated in diving, cross country and track, gymnastics, debate, cheerleading, yearbook, photography and Student Council.
