The Wall of Pride honors celebrated alumni whose actions or achievements in their chosen fields bring admiration and distinction to the heritage of West Lafayette High School. Each Wall of Pride class also includes an esteemed educator who has at least 20 years of service within West Lafayette Schools and who has been retired at least five years.
Wall of Pride members are nominated by fellow alumni, parents, current West Lafayette students, faculty, staff, administrators, and citizens from our community. Each year, nominees are reviewed and new inductees are selected by the West Lafayette Alumni Committee. This committee is comprised of former teachers, alumni, West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation board members, school administrators and previous Wall of Pride honorees.
Nominations are kept on file for a period of four years provided the nominee receives at least one vote. If a nominee is not selected within the four year window of time, nominators are encouraged to resubmit the nomination with updated information. The committee works one year in advance and nominations close on October 1st annually.
The Wall of Pride, West Lafayette’s very own “hall of fame,” was established for the purpose of celebrating our alumni and our schools. It is our hope that Wall of Pride inductees will be an inspiration for generations of the West Lafayette High School community - past, present, and future.
