The West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation is the first of its kind in the State, and the school corporation was instrumental, along with supportive state legislators, in the passage of the law that allows for this kind of foundation, one tied directly to the individual school corporation. Our school corporation can be proud of the essential role that we played in this important legislation.

Wendi Ailor

Wendi Ailor Executive Director

My name is Wendi Ailor and I am pleased to introduce myself as the newly named Executive Director for the West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation.

I have been working in higher education philanthropy since 1999, taking on a variety of positions at both Manchester University and Purdue University. In my most recent role, I served as the director of donor stewardship for the Office of Planned Giving. I earned degrees from Elizabethtown College and Bethany Theological Seminary, currently serving on the Board of Trustees for the Seminary.

Personally, I moved to the Greater Lafayette community 14 years ago when I married my husband, Mark Ailor. We have two sons, Simon and Hudson, who attend schools in the Tippecanoe School Corporation. As a family, you will often find us at the soccer fields, supporting school programs and cheering on the Purdue Boilermakers.

I am excited, honored and humbled to take on the role of Executive Director for the West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation. As an advancement professional, parent and member of our great community, the mission and goals of the foundation resonate deeply with me. I look forward to working in partnership with the Corporation’s alumni and friends as we continue to grow the Foundation.
