With just a little more than three weeks until school begins, the West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation is celebrating summer while preparing for the new school year. Each summer seems to move faster than the last! We can’t wait to see West Side teachers and students on August 6th.

Celebrating the 2026 WLHS Scholarship Recipients
The West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation currently manages 28 scholarships that are awarded to West Lafayette High School graduates each spring. These scholarships are made possible through generous donations from grateful alumni, family and community members. Graduating seniors apply for scholarships and WLHS faculty and staff select the recipients of the scholarships.
The West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation is delighted to report that in May 2026, 34 different students received 38 scholarships totaling $54,000. The scholarship recipients, along with their family members and scholarship donors, were honored at a reception in May.
Thank you to the generous donors who provide scholarship funds! The Foundation strives to add more scholarships each year. #RedDevilsGiveBack: 2026 School Supply Drive
Let’s make sure that all West Lafayette students are prepared to return to the classroom on August 6th. The West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation is helping to collect school supplies for students in need of them. Scan the QR code on the flyer or follow the link below to visit the Amazon Wish List of items that students need. This list was compiled by school staff and items will be distributed through the WLHS School Counseling office.
Items can also be purchased locally and dropped off at the Main Entrance of the West Lafayette Junior-Senior High School during the week between 8:00-3:00. Other items such as crayons, glue sticks, rulers, notebooks, scissors, etc., will be shared among all three school buildings.
Items will be collected through July 31st. Thank you for helping us to equip our amazing West Lafayette students so they are ready to learn!

Red Devils at the Lafayette Aviators
The West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation was the featured ‘Nonprofit of the Night’ at the Lafayette Aviators game on Friday, June 5th. This was an opportunity to raise awareness about the Foundation’s programs while enjoying a beautiful summer evening at Loeb Stadium.
In addition to the visibility WLSEF gained, the Foundation received $332 from ticket sales and the Aviators 50/50 drawing. Thank you to the Red Devil community for participating in this fun event!
