West Lafayette Alumni Invited to Homecoming 2024

The West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation and the West Lafayette Alumni Association invite all West Lafayette alumni to the annual Alumni Tailgate following the annual Homecoming parade. The tailgate is free and includes a light dinner, visiting with fellow Red Devils and door prizes.

Cumberland Park Pavilion
Following the tailgate, alumni are invited to Gordon Straley Field to cheer on the Red Devils when the football team takes on Lafayette Central Catholic at 7:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or pre-purchase online.
The highlight of the evening will be the Alumni Walk between the first and second quarters of the football game. West Lafayette alumni are invited to line up by decade and walk the track in front of the home bleachers. Wear your West Lafayette scarlet & gray and join in the fun of this new tradition.
So find your senior cords, grab your letter jacket and register today for this year’s Homecoming Tailgate!

School Supply Drive – Thank You!
UPDATE: How Red Devils Gave Back
This year, the West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation assisted school counselors and teachers by helping them to equip students who need school supplies. There are always students who come to school without the supplies they need. And it’s usually not by choice, but by circumstance.
Thank you to the many parents, friends, neighbors, alumni and teachers who made donations of schools supplies. Because of you, we were able to distribute folders, notebooks, pencils, calculators, backpacks, lunch bags and countless other school supplies to dozens of students.
Thank you for being a Red Devil who gives back. Your contributions helped West Lafayette students to start the school year with the tools to be successful and feeling confident in the classroom.

Teacher Grant Application Window Now Open
The West Lafayette Schools Education Foundation is once again offering grant opportunities to teachers during both semesters. Our commitment is to help teachers provide the best educational experiences possible for their students. The purpose of the grants is to help teachers meet and/or expand their educational goals. The application deadline is 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024.
All applicants will be notified of the grant results by Friday, November 22, 2024.
What does the grant committee look for when awarding teacher grants? Priority will be given to those proposals that offer experiential opportunities and/or creative ways of delivering curricular standards. Some examples may be visiting authors, poets, artists, entrepreneurs, field trips (in-person or virtual), tapping into the local history, architecture, industries, museums. Proposals may include requests for materials needed to implement the experience or delivery. The maximum monetary grant per proposal for first semester grants will be $1,500.
During the 2023-2024 school year, the Foundation awarded $10,052 in grants to West Lafayette teachers.
